WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR ENGAGEMENT OF LAB TECHNICIANS ON HOURLY BASIS

THDC Institute of Hydropower Engineering & Technology (THDC-IHET), Tehri invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Lab Technicians on Hourly Basis in the following departments for the Odd semester of Academic Session 2026-27. Interested candidates may appear for the Walk-in Interview as per the schedule given below.

Essential Qualification

The educational qualifications, experience, and other eligibility criteria shall be as per the norms prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, for Technical Supporting Staff/Laboratory Technician in Engineering and Technology Institutions, as amended from time to time.

Preference may be given to candidates having:

• Relevant laboratory experience in Engineering Institutions.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment handling, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in computer hardware, networking, programming environments, software installation, and laboratory management (for CSE).
• Experience in handling electrical machines, measurement instruments, power systems equipment, and electrical laboratory setups (for EE).

Nature of Engagement

1. The engagement shall be purely on hourly basis and temporary in nature.
2. The engagement shall be for academic and laboratory support activities as assigned by the concerned department.
3. The selected candidates shall assist in:
   • Conduct of practical classes and laboratory sessions.
   • Installation, maintenance, and upkeep of laboratory equipment and software.
   • Preparation and maintenance of laboratory records and inventories.
   • Assistance in departmental academic, technical, and examination-related activities.
4. The engagement shall not confer any right for regular appointment or continuation beyond the approved period.

Remuneration

Remuneration shall be paid on an hourly basis, Rs.300 per hour, as per the norms approved by the Institute/University from time to time.

Documents Required

Candidates must bring the following documents at the time of interview:

1. Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Resume.
2. Original certificates and mark sheets of all educational qualifications.
3. One set of self-attested photocopies of all educational certificates and mark sheets.
4. Experience certificates, if any.
5. Valid Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Voter ID/Driving License).
6. Two recent passport-size photographs.

1. Candidates must satisfy themselves regarding eligibility before appearing for the interview.
2. The Institute reserves the right to increase, decrease, or withdraw any or all positions without assigning any reason.
3. Mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.
4. No TA/DA shall be admissible for attending the interview.
5. The decision of the Institute shall be final and binding in all matters related to the selection process.
6. The engagement is purely temporary and does not create any claim for regular appointment in the Institute.
