Technical Bootcamp on AI/ML
The college recently hosted a technical bootcamp in which representatives from Brillica Services delivered a lecture on machine learning, AI, and data science. The seminar was attended by students from all branches of the college.
During the session, Mr. Yogendra Singh Negi provided a brief overview of Brillica Services and their IT services. Mr. Vikas Singh then delivered a comprehensive lecture on the principles of machine learning, AI, and data science, covering topics such as their applications, current trends and challenges, and career opportunities in these fields
The seminar provided a valuable opportunity for students to learn about cutting-edge technologies from industry experts and gain insight into potential career paths. The college is committed to providing its students with opportunities to enhance their learning and prepare for successful futures.

74th Republic Day celebration
The 74th Republic Day was celebrated in the institute on 26th January 2023 with great fervor and patriotic zeal. The director hoisted the national flag followed by the singing of the national anthem. He then addressed the faculty, staff, and students and spoke about institute’s achievements. He highlighted the plans for training and placement, value-added courses, sports and fitness facilities, and a new program on B.Tech AI/ML. The director encouraged the faculty, staff, and students to work together towards the betterment of the institute. The celebration was a great success and served as a reminder of the importance of unity and hard work in the pursuit of a better future. The entire institute felt proud to be a part of this great nation and pledged to contribute to its growth and development.
Introductory Meeting of the Director
The director of THDC-IHET, Dr. S.K. Pradhan, recently held a casual meeting with the staff and teachers of the institute. During the meeting, Dr. Pradhan introduced himself and shared his vision for the institute. He talked about his future plans and how he hopes to take the institute to new heights of success. Dr. Pradhan also asked the staff and teachers about their current designated work in the institute and listened attentively to their responses. The meeting was a great opportunity for the director to get to know the staff and teachers better and for everyone to learn more about the director’s plans and goals. Overall, it was a productive and enjoyable meeting that helped to foster a sense of camaraderie and collaboration within the institute.
Skills required for Industry 4.0
Dr. S.K. Pradhan recently delivered a lecture on the skills required for Industry 4.0 to the 4th year students of THDC-IHET. The lecture focused on the various integral skills that are necessary for job and career opportunities in the field of engineering.
During the lecture, Dr. Pradhan emphasized the importance of staying up-to-date with the latest technology and industry trends. He stressed the need for students to continuously learn and adapt to new skills and demands in order to be considered employable. Dr. Pradhan also highlighted the importance of soft skills, such as teamwork and communication, in addition to technical expertise.
Overall, the lecture was well-received by the students and provided valuable insights into the skills and knowledge that are required to succeed in the engineering industry. It also served as a reminder for the students to constantly work on their skills and stay current with the latest developments in their field.
Lecture on NBA Accreditation
On 10-01-2023, the director, Dr. S.K. Pradhan, delivered a lecture on Programme Outcome (PO) and Course Articulation Matrix (CAM) design for preparation of SAR for National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accreditation. The lecture was attended by faculty members. During the lecture, the director explained the importance of designing PO and CAM as per NBA guidelines, and how it contributes to the overall accreditation process. He also highlighted the shift from input-based education to outcome-based education, and the reasons why outcome-based education is necessary for ensuring quality education.
The director also introduced the concept of “co-po mapping” and its significance in NBA accreditation. Co-po mapping refers to the process of aligning course outcomes with program outcomes, and is an important aspect of demonstrating that the program’s objectives are being met. The director also proposed to conduct further lectures in the upcoming weeks, focusing on how to write effective course objectives. This would provide additional support to the faculty members in designing and delivering outcome-based courses that align with the program’s objectives and meet the standards set by NBA.
Overall, the lecture was informative and provided valuable insights into the importance of PO and CAM design for NBA accreditation. The proposal for future lectures would also help faculty members in developing the skills required to deliver effective outcome-based education.
