THDC-IHET, Tehri Uttarakhand is one of the unique propositions of Industry-academia partnership in the country.
This institute was jointly conceived by THDC India Limited and VMSB Uttarakhand Technical University in the year 2011.
THDC-IHET is a flagship institution of VMSBUTU under the patronage of THDC India Limited.
It is situated near Tehri Dam with its picturesque campus, academic atmosphere, opportunity to nurture skills, holistic development, quality infrastructure, students clubs and recreation center.

The campus is in Bhagirathipuram, New Tehri and near the famous Tehri Dam, Uttarakhand. (The climate is cool throughout the year.)

MoU with Cerebo-Spark, Pune and ELESPA HEV pvt. ltd., Pune
On 16-02-2023 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between THDC-IHET and Cerebospark, Pune to improve the individual student’s education, and knowledge along with technical and entrepreneurial skills and promote R&D efforts through industry-academia collaboration.

On 13-02-2023 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between THDC-IHET and IIP Dehradun to promote academic and research collaborations. The purposes of the cooperation are to promote cooperative research and to facilitate the exchange of ideas, the development of new knowledge, and to the enhancement of high-quality research acumen.
